Gone are the days when spectacles are only for geeks, now every hipster & their mother is wearing a pair of thick rimmed frames. This in itself raises a big issue. How do you effectively avoid looking like an American Apparel extra and still find glasses which make a statement? For me, it's all about sticking with quality produce and classic styles.

C.W. Dixey & Son has been designing eyewear in Great Britain since 1777 and is the oldest independent eyewear company in the world. Naturally, they're my brand of choice right now. Their latest Chartwell range is based on Sir Winston Churchhill's frames and you can't get more authentic than that.
